We had members from the team attend the Watts Neighborhood Council meetings every second Tuesday of the month.

We met with Dr. Vivian Price a professor from the California State University, Dominguez Hills came to talk about the issues of water in inner cities.

We paired up with the Watts Youth Building Lives Club to clean up the community. February 27, 2017
We went to a meeting in Watts about Black Lvies Matter and other social issues that we face in inner cities. In this meeting we had speakers such as Melina Abdullah and the proffesor from CSUDH. |

LAWPD representatives came to our school and explained what is going on with water and the solution that there might be. March 17, 2017
We had a lawyer, and water tenants come to our school and talk about the issues of immigration and of water. March 27, 2017
We sent out a survey for students to fill out about what they know about immigrations rights. We were able to survey at least half of the school. March 25, 2017
We went to Alliance #12 Middle School in which we were tabling and giving out information about immigration rights and what to do if ICE knocks on people's doors. Students went to a Survivor Speaks Conference in the state capital, Sacamento, and were involved in a protest to advocate for justice. April 3-7, 2017 The girls gave immigration rights workshops in classes to inform students about their legal rights. We were able to present to 6 classes. |
